Scott has been a providing financial advice in the Los Angeles area since completing his MBA in 1993. His clients include individuals, small business owners, qualified plan administrators, as well as senior management with some of the largest employers in the LA Basin.

Scott is currently an instructor at local universities conducting classes that help his students build personal customized financial plans. He presents retirement options in a easy to understand, systematic format. His lectures include a wide range of topics including, Social Security Maximization, Tax Planning, and Retirement Portfolio Construction.

Donald Murphy

Meet with Don

Donald Murphy is the founder of Platinum Wealth Advisors and co-founder of Platinum Life Financial and Insurance Services. He is an Investment Advisor Representative and has been providing financial advice for over 36 years.

Don has managed sales, marketing and operations for several Fortune 500 companies and has worked within all financial sectors including mortgage, real estate, insurance, pensions and wealth management. Today, he hosts workshop lectures about retirement planning to pre-retirees and retirees at UCLA, Loyola Marymount University, El Camino College, University of California Irvine and at Cal State University Long Beach. As a Financial Planner and Investment Advisor Representative, he helps all age groups, but focuses on Retirement Planning with students age 60 and up. Attendees learn how to create financial and tax efficiency with an emphasis on eliminating risk and maximizing income. With proper planning and design, he helps his clients realize and attain their personal, financial, retirement and legacy goals.

He lives in Long Beach with his two teenage daughters, Kimberly and Tiffany, and their Wheaten Terrier, Robbie.

Steve Soffer

Meet with Steve

Steve is a founding partner of Platinum Life and has been working as a retirement planner helping families find financial solutions since 2001. He helps pre-retirees and retirees understand how best to achieve their retirement goals.

Steve also lectures groups of tax attorneys and CPAs on the benefits of avoiding the “Four Bears of Wall Street,” employing methods that everyone can use to help alleviate market risk while still enjoying a market return. Tax-saving strategies are also one of Steve’s specialties, with an emphasis on strategically positioning assets to hedge against inflation.

In his spare time, he enjoys hitting little fuzzy balls on the tennis courts around Los Angeles and hanging out with his kids.
